The eighties certainly had it's share
of heart throbs from TV, movies and popular music. Here's a list
of the best of them.
Don Johnson - star of Miami Vice.
Fashion pioneer, especially when it came to white suits with the
sleeves rolled up.
David Hasslehoff - brooding expression,
mullet, and a tendency to be out-acted by a talking car.
Tom Selleck - the mustache, the hairy
chest, the Ferrari, the charisma... don't we all miss watching Magnum
PI?
Jon Bon Jovi - big hair, tight spandex
pants and a heavy metal attitude.
Patrick Swaze - nice muscles... very
nice muscles... and he could dance. Better yet, he seemed to go
around falling for girls with big noses.
Dirk Benedict - you know, Face the con
man from The A Team. He was also in Battlestar Galactica.
Billy Idol - was it the leather? Was
it the permanent sneer? Was it the bleached hair? Perhaps it was
all of the above.
Steve Guttenberg - star of the Police
Academy movies. At the time, we all thought he was hot... and one
of the greatest wits of our time.
Richard Gere - made waves with a brief
nude scene in American Gigolo and was a chick magnet from that moment
on.
Andrew McCarthy - hot stuff in Pretty
in Pink and St Elmo's fire
Lee Majors - sure, he was big in the
70s, but he kept his spunk quotient high in the 80s by starring
in The Fall Guy
Michael J Fox - never mind Back to the
Future, he was a chick magnet in Family Ties and Teen Wolf
Sylvester Stallone - pure beefcake, with
a penchant for very little clothing, and blowing up the Vietnamese
William Katt - the thinking woman's spunkrat,
he's best known for The Greatest American Hero.
Simon Le Bon - all the new age girlies
loved Simon's pretty boy looks when he was lead singer of Duran
Duran.
